Thanks for the info Beth. I don’t know if they are extra popular this year, but they were sold out quicker than usual. Hopefully Costco will get some more in soon. I’ll keep my eye out and report back

Ya, unfortunately these seem to be sold out at ALL the Costco’s near me. You’re in luck though because Costco.com is currently selling the “Long Beach Folding Adirondack Chair”, Item Number: 2397555 for $159.99. They’re a little more expensive & have a slightly different shape, but it may be what your looking for. Let me know if you end up finding them
I am now working on the matching tables, and figured out a cool cross brace system today, using the shape of the chair side braces. Again, there will be 3 heights for the table plan as well.

Below you can compare the top 4 best rated Adirondack Chairs for heavy people. A quick way to gauge the features that are relevant to each chair. Our overall opinion here at Big Person Central find the HighWood is our favorite Adirondack chair to suit the plus size community. However budget plays an important part in any buying decision so either of the Lifetime or Outdoors Interiors chairs are still a great choice.
I’ve tried rinsing them, and scrubbing them, but it just seemed to make them worse, and I’d get less dirty sitting on the ground…which sorta defeats the purpose of a chair right? But I am just not okay with getting rid of them before I try to fix them and I am so glad I did!
This has extra-large backrests and armrests so you can sit and read or sit and sleep. The seats are large as well so you can add pillows and a blanket for total relaxation. Sit and stay cozy with a friend or your spouse.
Next, add the arms, then the back. Make sure to use a level and space your boards evenly. (The weather took a turn and we had to continue on the porch)
Cedar: While not as tough as teak, cedar does make a more durable chair than pine. The wood has a natural oil that resists bug infestations and decay. Like pine, a cedar Adirondack chair will need to be refinished every year or two. Cedar naturally adjusts to the moisture found in wet climates, making it an excellent choice for chairs that will be left in the rain.
As the weather starts to warm up we start to think about spending more time outside. We decided that this year we want to build Adirondack chairs from scratch. Building your own Adirondack chairs has to be better than spending a small fortune on them, right? We tease a friend of ours for spending over $500 on new Adirondack chairs. Lucky for us, we found free plans to build Adirondack chairs online which makes this project so much easier.
