There are more environmentally friendly versions that require more work to make the material which costs a lot. Then there are wood or steel versions that aren’t cheap to manufacture.
The thing we should look at with this Lifetime chair is it’s heavy duty rating. Yea it’s good, but where it lacks is in the market for people above 300 lbs whom need wider seats. The colors are limited and has a smaller warranty from the Manufacturer.

This is a power tool challenge project where a few of my fellow bloggers and myself get together and create a project based on one theme. This months theme is Spring. We are building Adirondack chairs to welcome the warm weather of Spring. Each project must be created using at least one power tool. Make sure to check out these other projects. There is no easy answer to why Adirondack chairs are so expensive. A lot goes into the design of these chairs which I believe is a big part of the reason that do seem to cost more than others. Their design isn’t a simple basic design like most others, so their manufacturing process is more difficult.

Luckily a young and crafty couple were looking for a good project and took the whole whole set off our hands. I asked them to post pictures when they finish redoing them. Since living in my neighborhood we found that almost anything we no longer want or need can be reused by someone in a creative way. Had not idea that plastic could be successfully spray painted.
