Gorilla Glue doesn't work. We have about 10 of these chairs with tables at our Lake house and they all eventually split, crack, etc. I tried every thing including Gorilla, Crazy, and any other glue, duct tape, etc. I now put a towel over chair to cover cracked part and "Forget about it". My husband saw the chairs for $12. at a local hardware store up at the lake house so when the towels wear out we will just spring for the new chair. Good luck and let me know if you have had any success with your repair efforts,

This might be the easiest option. Hope that helps

Where did you find the spray paint? I found almost the exact same can you used but it doesn’t list plastic as one of the surfaces.
The wood is considerably dense which is what gives it its ability to handle heavy weights. The natural oils in the wood also give it natural protection from the weather.

Throughout the 19th century, the bacterial lung disease tuberculosis—known as “consumption” for the way it wasted, or consumed, its victims—had plagued America’s expanding cities. By the time the bacterium causing it was identified in 1882, it was responsible for 1 in 7 deaths worldwide. Using a scissor, carefully cut out your template pieces. Then grab adhesive spray.
Much nicer, right? But it was like putting lipstick on a pig. Paint made them look pretty, but they were still wobbly and rickety. I think we got our money’s worth out of those crappy old Adirondack chairs and now its time for something a bit sturdier and better.
