Adirondack chairs like these can make any patio or porch worth checking out. Accessorize with throw pillows, area rugs, and a blanket and you got an interesting and relaxing outdoor area for you and your family.
As for dimensions, can we just say this chair is huge and considerably easy to move around too. But I’ll fill you in on the important size measurements. Between the arms you get a generous 23 inches of space and for the actually seat its an extra wide and roomy 25″. .
Avoid fights over who can use the chair that looks just like mom and dad's with this unique double design. This style is also coated with a UV inhibitor that resists fading, so it will last very long even if you leave it outside year-round.
We bought two of these yesterday in Las Vegas. We felt the same way having never sat in one, and were floored by the comfort. You mentioned they sell the side table and footstool online, but I’ve not been able to find either. Do you have any tips where to find them? Particularly the table. Great review!
Building Adirondack furniture is a time-honored craft. Sturdy and rustic, this furniture can be a beautiful addition to any indoor decor, although it's most often used to set the scene outdoors. There, the furniture is subjected to a lifetime of abuse. Yearly it moves from somewhere hidden away (probably dark and musty winter storage) to front-and-center on the summer stage. Now, hour after hour it is beaten on by intense UV light, drenched in driving rains, then fried again in the summer sun.
Hardwood oils will not harm wicker or sling material, however, it should be wiped free during oiling projects. If wicker or sling becomes soiled or dirty, use water and mild detergents for cleaning.

That’s a good question Brandi. I’m not sure there is a weight capacity on the box. I tried looking. I will say this….the width of the chair is wide, so if you tend to have a wider bottom, this should still be comfortable to sit in. The only issue with that is it sits low to the ground. If someone is a heavier person, they may have difficulty getting in and out of the chair because it is so low. They really are comfortable though! I hope that helps
Wood is susceptible to damage from prolonged exposure to water and sunlight. The first step to protecting your wood adirondack chairs is a preventative step; always cover or store your chairs (in a dry place) when they are not in use. This will prevent any damage and cut down on your maintenance work.
Opt for wood with very little infrequent maintenance needs once you’ve completed the project. Then you can sit back, enjoy, and not have to worry about retreating, revarnishing, or repainting it over and over.
Taking to give this a try this weekend! This will be my first wood working project.
The popularity of this updated design spread, and because the chair originated in the Adirondacks, it was widely-known as the Adirondack chair. The exception is in Canada, where the chair is called the Muskoka chair, likely due to its popularity in the Muskoka region.
Gliders: These chairs offer smoother movement than a rocker but still provide a rhythmic way to relax. Two-seaters/loveseats: Adirondack-style loveseats have two backs with one seat. They make a fun addition to your outdoor space if you need lots of extra seating. Cushions
One thing we’re less impressed with is the fact that some of the plans are listed as “premium” and the site charges for those, but this plan is free. Check it out here.
